Oh, For Fucks Sake!

I go away for a bit and the whole works goes to shit.

Yes -- I am properly back, and the rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

Check this space for the line-up on Wednesday and I will see you on the flip side.

Goodbye, EBKC!

As some of you may have heard, I have officially quit my position as the EBKC's door girl.  It was not by any means an easy decision, and I am certainly not happy about it in a lot of ways.

The reasons for this decision are as follows:

I am taking 15 units this semester, and really don't think I have the time or energy to commit to being there every single week as I have been for nearly a year and a half.

Dante DeMoan (my best friend) is moving away, and I need a break.

I want to be able to go and actually watch/participate in the show when I can actually be there.

Like I said, this was not a spur of the moment decision, and I will miss you all.

Love, Joanna/Mario/Kat

holy clusterfuck, batman!

...Thursday morning is the hardest day of the week...
But last night was totally worth it. I'll be posting the line up here in a little bit...once I decipher the handwriting on the set list...if you missed the show last night, you totally missed out.

I misses the show

Hi there all. So it's been a while since I've been to the show...and I miss it, and I miss all of you...but my stupid car is being stupid, so I'll have to wait till next week to make a return....but I will be back...muahahaha...for realsies.
Here's a thought, maybe we could start having weekly "themed" postings.....like, a drag related question for the week, or maybe something to just think about, or something funny we hear in conversation. What do ya'll think?
On the subject of themes....how bout a themed show? Any takers?
more later, going back to the land of data processing hell for now.

Sherwood's latest surgery...

Y'all may not know it, but Sherwood Suck went back into the hospital today for yet another spinal surgery (his third in as many months).

Keep him in your thoughts, people.  Seriously.  It's been a rough road, and it's not gonna let up especially soon.

Question 1.) How do I change the picture of the week (cause it's been like 6 weeks up)
Question 2.) How do I add to 'our list of favorite things' (cause that would be fun!)

I'm sitting here at my office job...watching time slow to a crawl waiting for 5pm...
sooo......whats everyone doin this weekend? *looks around*

I love and will miss you all while I'm gone,

PS- Does anyone want anything from Disneyland?

Neil Down is going bye bye :(

Hey Y'all,

For everyone who doesn't know, I will be moving from the Bay Area to Santa Fe, NM, very soon.

That means that Wednesday June 25th will be my last show at the 'Ho. I am sad to be leaving such a great group of folks, but also excited to put on a rocking last performance (which will be a few numbers for sure).

If you have any favorites you want to see one last time, let me know and I'll see what I can work out :)

I've totally enjoyed being part of the EBKC, and a huge part of that is our always kick ass audience. You folks are grrrreat.

The other thing is, Thursday morning I leave to drive to Santa Fe, and there have been some financial issues (mostly to do with my car, and some other things), and so if you are feeling generous, bring some extra tip dollars to throw at me. This is the last time you will have a chance to throw money at me!

Hope to see you all on the 25th!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh, how i miss the yay!

I'm sitting here in the cold, damp great Northwest, pining away for sunny California.

It is JUNE and still raining cats and dogs in Seattle. What gives?

The only explanation I have is that the universe knows I belong in Oakland, performing with the East Bay Kings Club.

But I'm home on June 11th. Which just happens to be the next EBKC Wednesday night show!

Thats right- I'll be jumpin' off my airplane into the loving arms of the White Horse Inn.

So come out for my homecoming- I wanna see all yer smilin' faces.

If you don't like it, suck it.

The whole thing is on video and we'll put it on YouTube as soon as somebody figures out how.

Fem Sex Extravaganza 2008

Hey y'all. So myself (Jack), Il Nocturnal, Gabe Oi, Dante Demoan, with guests Dicky Long and Mitchell Brothers performed at UC Berkeley's FemSex end of the year extravaganza. We shared the stage with other women performers who have been empowered by their experience in FemSexm, or had been invited from the community. I had a great time; and the show, however short our set was great. Il Nocturnal opened the three number set with Peaches' "Two Guys for Every Girl," followed by my rendition of Wierd Al's "White and Nerdy," and we ended with the Across the Universe's version of the Beatles' "With a Little Help from my Friends." We had a great audience and everyone had a great time. Thanks FemSex!
